Conoco Phillips donates $100K to aid wildfire relief efforts

ARTESIA — ConocoPhillips announced Tuesday that it has donated $100,000 to the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) to support wildfire disaster relief efforts in Lincoln and Otero counties.

The company will also match any donations made by its U.S. employees.

“We deeply appreciate the ongoing efforts of our emergency responders and volunteers who are working tirelessly to contain the fires, and we thank the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico for organizing funds that directly support those most affected,” said Delaware Basin Vice President Aaron Hunter.

“As part of the Southern New Mexico community, we are honored to collaborate with our friends and neighbors throughout Lincoln and Otero counties,” said CFSNM President and CEO Terra V. Winter. “Funding will focus on residents affected by the wildfires while focusing on first responder needs and long-term economic revitalization.

“We are thankful for the support from ConocoPhillips and their team. We are stronger together and are truly grateful for New Mexico’s giving hearts.”
