A black Oldsmobile sits disabled in the roadway at South Seventh Street and West Richardson Avenue after being struck just after 4 p.m. Thursday by a white GMC SUV. According to the Artesia Police Department, the Oldsmobile was traveling north on Seventh Street and the SUV west on Richardson Avenue when the driver of the SUV failed to yield to a stop sign. The SUV sustained moderate damage to its rear driver’s-side bumper, while the Oldsmobile sustained substantial damage to its front end. The vehicles’ airbags deployed, and no injuries were reported.
