The Artesia Community Theatre is hard at work preparing for a pair of productions this fall. Above, cast members rehearse for “Murder’s in the Heir,” a murder mystery dessert theatre set for Sept. 21-23 at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center. As part of Trick-or-Treat Main Street in October, the ACT will get in the spirit with a production of “Dracula Returns,” and auditions are coming up. Those interested in trying out for the four female, three male, and six either-gender roles should head to the OPAC lobby at 6 p.m. Aug. 14 and Aug. 23. Performance dates will be 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, prior to trick-or-treating on Main Street, and 7 p.m. Oct. 27 after the candy has been handed out. For more information, contact Sandy Schuetz at 308-8160 or sschuetz@pvtn.net, or visit the ACT’s Facebook page or www.act88210.org for updates.
