The team of Ben Kelley, of Artesia, left, header, and Chance Bownds, of Shallowater, Texas, healer, roped their way to a second-place finish in this year’s #10 Yeti World Series of Team Roping Finale Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nev., after roping four head in 31.98 seconds. The team took home a $272,000 paycheck for their effort. The duo of Will Jones of Mertzon, Texas, and Erick Alvarado of Midland, Texas, took the No. 1 spot in this year’s largest payout ($362,000) at the 2017 WSTR finale after roping four head in 30.99 seconds.
