Artesia High School senior class president Sarah McEachern, 17, organized a “Book Bonanza” Saturday afternoon at the Artesia Public Library with the goal of providing a fun day of reading and crafts for local children.
McEachern hoped to host 50 children at the event but surpassed that goal, with a total of 81 attending. The youngsters heard stories, played games, and created their own books, with prizes offered for the most creative offerings. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
