In accordance with federal law, the Artesia Police Department announces officers will be out in force this weekend in an effort to crack down on DWI for the APD’s “100 Days and Nights of Summer” program.
In what’s being referred to by the APD as “Operation: Buckle Down,” road blocks and saturation checkpoints can be expected throughout the summer in an effort to stop drinking and driving, as well as drivers with unsecured seatbelts.
