The Artesia Public Schools will be hosting a free parenting seminar Saturday, Aug. 27. The seminar, which will include five presentations over various topics, will take place at the Artesia (Park) Junior High School, located at 1501 Cannon Ave.
“Parent Connection,” the first presentation, scheduled for 9 a.m., will teach parents how to navigate their children’s school website.
“I personally encourage parents to attend this one,” said Dena Nelson, APS social worker and co-coordinator of the seminar.
“The presenter will provide helpful academic resources for parents to use at home.”
