Eva Foster

Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) is announcing the recent addition of Eva Foster to the provider team at Artesia Family Health Center (AFHC).

Foster is a Licensed Professional Counselor and, in addition to seeing patients, will serve AFHC as Behavioral Health Clinical Services Administrator. She has more than 15 years of experience in the medical field and is a member of the National Association of Addiction Professionals. In 2014, Foster was named Professional of the Year by the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals.

“I’m very happy to be with Presbyterian Medical Services in Artesia offering services in the community as well as advocacy efforts,” Foster said upon arrival to AFHC. “I attended junior high school and high school in Artesia and am glad to be back.”

Foster’s master’s degree in counseling was obtained in 2010 from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. Her background includes private practice and outpatient and residential clinical settings.

Artesia Family Health Center is located at 1105 Memorial Drive in Artesia and provides behavioral health care, primary care, and dental services. Appointments are received at 575-746-9848.

As with other PMS community health centers, AFHC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The not-for-profit centers do not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or financial status. Payment options include Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance. For the uninsured, payment is on a sliding fee scale.

In operation since 1969, Presbyterian Medical Service’s mission is to design and deliver quality, accessible, integrated health, education, and human services in response to identified community needs of the multi-cultural people of the Southwest.
