The Artesia Historical Museum and Art Center, and Artesia Public Library are once again teaming up with the New Mexico School for the Arts to offer free workshops to students in grades 6-12.
The workshops will take place Saturday, Jan. 27, and all are free, with a showcase performance scheduled for that evening at the Artesia High School Auditorium.
A Creative Writing workshop will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Artesia Public Library; Visual Arts from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the museum; Music from 2-3 p.m. at the AHS Auditorium; and theatre from 3:15-4:30 p.m. at the auditorium.
Students will then show the public what they’ve learned at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the auditorium.
The workshops are a collaborative art exchange between the NMSA, the library and museum, the Artesia Arts Council, and the Artesia Public Schools. For more information, call 746-4252.
