BeWellnm, the official state marketplace for purchasing and comparing health plans, will host three public information events next week in Eddy County.
The events will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the changes in federal law affecting health insurance and healthcare, the various plans offered on the exchange, and subsidies or tax credits for which they may be eligible. Information will be available in English and Spanish.
There will also be assistance provided to help with individual enrollment. The deadline to enroll in an exchange-based health plan is Jan. 31.
Event dates and locations include:
• Thursday, Jan. 7: Session 1, 3 p.m.; Session 2, 6 p.m. – Carlsbad Public Library, 101 S. Halagueno St.
• Thursday, Jan. 7: Session 1, 3 p.m.; Session 2, 6 p.m. – NMSU-Carlsbad Allied Health Building, Room 424, 1500 University Drive
• Friday, Jan. 8: Session 1, 3 p.m.; Session 2, 6 p.m. – Artesia Public Library meeting room, 205 W. Quay Ave.
