Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Billie Jean Garcia of Artesia.

Garcia, 68, beloved grandmother, wife, mother and sister, was called to her eternal resting place May 22, 2016.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services, with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Garrett Garcia, Phillip Garcia, Cody Garcia, Raul Garcia, Rigo Chavarria, Bill Rountree, C.J. Carter and Kris Box.

A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Billie was born Jan. 18, 1948, in Artesia.

On June 26, 1964, she married Fred Garcia in Artesia.

She was a lifelong Artesia resident and a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Garcia, of Artesia; sons Garrett Garcia and Phillip Garcia, both of Artesia; brother Greg Juarez of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren Alexis Garcia, Darian Juarez, Cody Garcia, Scotti Parker, Raul Garcia and Maggie Garcia; and great-grandchild Demri Box.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raul “Dooley” Juarez.
