As the July 4 holiday approaches, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) would like to remind all public lands users that unless otherwise authorized by the BLM, the possession or use of fireworks on all BLM-managed public lands within the State of New Mexico is prohibited.

“We invite you to get outdoors and enjoy your public lands this holiday weekend,” the BLM said in a statement. “If fireworks are on your agenda, please seek out professional displays offered in your community.”
