The Bulldog football team competed in its first passing event of the summer last Friday, a seven-on-seven tournament at the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in Roswell. The ‘Dogs fell to Lovington in the championship game. Artesia’s offensive and defensive trench specialists, meanwhile, came out on top in the Linemen’s Challenge. In the gallery below, the linemen can be seen taking a Carlsbad player along for the ride during the tug-o’-war; Ethan Conn heads for the end zone for a score against Los Alamos; and Payton Deans prepares to release a pass versus the Hilltoppers.

The Bulldog volleyball program hosted its summer tournament last Friday at Bulldog Pit, Park Junior High School and Zia Intermediate School. In the gallery below, Zowe Warren puts up a set during Artesia’s match against Capitan; Hattie Harrison goes up for a kill; McKenna Morrison and Lauryn Parker deliver a block; and Charity Argo posts a kill. The ‘Dogs came out on top of the twoset match against the Tigers.
