Amidst much laughter, the Artesia City Council wanted to make one point particularly clear to the public during Tuesday’s meeting at City Hall: The patch job on Main Street had nothing to do with them.
The portion of Main (U.S. 82) between 13th and Seventh streets had fallen into serious disrepair in recent months with large ruts running both east and westbound.
