The Artesia Fire Department recognized two of its employees at Tuesday’s City Council meeting for their completion of a 10-month training program through Arizona State University.
Fire Marshal James Abner and Cpt. Marc Nason completed the program to become certified public managers, studying areas of public management including budgeting, purchasing, legal and policy issues, leadership, employee relationships, conflict resolutions, and public sector case studies.
