Authorities survey the damage to a yellow Volkswagen Beetle this morning following a collision at the intersection of South 13th Street and West Grand Avenue. According to Artesia Police Department officers on the scene, witnesses stated a green Ford 150 pickup was traveling eastbound on Grand through a green light when the Beetle, traveling south on 13th, failed to stop at a red light and struck the Ford. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage to their front ends and had to be transported from the scene. The driver of the Beetle was cited for running a red light.
