The Eddy County Commission passed an ordinance known as the Eddy County Animal Control Ordinance Tuesday with all district commissioners supporting.
According to Section 1.1 of Ordinance 14-79, the intent of the ordinance is “to protect animals from neglect and abuse, protect Eddy County residents from injury from animals, encourage responsible ownership animals as pets, and to provide assistance to the Eddy County Animal Control Officer with its functions of housing, impoundment, and enforcement.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
