Chief Deputy Mark Cage addresses the audience and county law enforcement officers Wednesday morning at the 2016 Eddy County Law Enforcement Memorial and Awards Ceremony in Carlsbad. Law enforcement officials took time to remember fallen officers of Eddy County and recognize the risks officers face in the line of duty. “I’m proud to stand here in front of you and look into your eyes and see that you are all up to the challenge,” said Cage. “We must train ourselves mentally and physically so we are able to be there for our brothers and sisters and for those who need served.”
