A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas, for Delma Martinez Mata of Odessa.
Mata, 64, went to her heavenly home Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Interment will follow the services at the Ector County Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Delma was born June 19, 1953, in Marfa, Texas, to Jose P. and Manuela S. Martinez.
Survivors include her husband, Ismael Castillo Mata; sons Ismael Martinez Mata Jr., Steve Martinez Mata and wife Debra, Matthew Aaron Mata and wife Ariana, and Erik Lee Mata and wife Karina, all of Odessa; daughter-in-law Mandy Leigh Flippo Mata of Silver City; eight beautiful grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brother Chilo S. Martinez and sisters Nora M. Contreras, Norma M. Armendarez, and Delia M. Denetso, all of Artesia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Roman Prieto Jr.
