Palmer, 67, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at her home.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Donetta was born Dec. 15, 1950, in Ardmore, Okla., the daughter of Everett R. and Maxine F. (Bohannon) Dees. She came to Artesia in 1959 from Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker and retail clerk. Donetta enjoyed cooking and gardening, and had a great love for horses.
Survivors include sons Cass Palmer of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Matt Palmer of Artesia; sister Margaret Ann Mitchell of Roswell; and grandson Aidan C. Palmer.
