No local services are scheduled for Douglas Allen Blaine of Artesia.

Blaine, 68, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at his home.

Family and friends are invited to 4000 W. Grand Ave. Friday, Oct. 30, to visit with the family.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Blaine was born Jan. 10, 1947, in Grayling, Mich., the son of Aubrey Blaine and Barbara (Gierke) Blaine.

On Aug. 14, 1969, he married Veronica Blaine in Grayling, and the couple came to Artesia in 1995 from Grayling.

He served in the United States armed forces during the Vietnam War. He was a manager for retail stores and a member of DAV, VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Veronica Blaine, of Artesia; sons Aaron Blaine of Frederick, Mich., and Doug Blaine Jr. of Artesia; sisters Sharon Hagerman and Diane Doremire, both of Grayling; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
