Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage receives the keys to one of 10 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500s from Guy Chevrolet General Manager Dani Kuykendall Thursday afternoon. As part of Cage’s effort to spend money locally in Eddy County, the ECSO has purchased the new patrol vehicles in the amount of $317,508 to update and/or replace existing vehicles. The sheriff’s office asked for bids throughout New Mexico and parts of Texas, and Guy Chevrolet submitted the winning bid. Guy Chevy has been in business for more than 90 years in the city of Artesia. “I’m very excited about being able to keep the money local for yet another year and to update our fleet with these trucks,” said Cage.
