Fair Queen crowned
Joy Menefee poses for a photo after being crowned the 2014 Eddy County Fair Queen by outgoing queen Storme Cartwright. Menefee, 17, attends Artesia High School and is involved in FFA. She said she is excited to be the new queen and looking forward to her fair-time responsibilities, which include handing out ribbons and assisting at the sale. Menefee also raised three dairy heifers, which she showed Monday evening.
