Trash-to-treasure artist Owen Smith of Carlsbad took first place in the Adult Division of the Eddy County Recycled Art Show with his “Shower Fixture Lamp.” The Recycled Art Show is currently on display at the Artesia Public Library through Saturday, March 31. Voting for the People’s Choice awards is ongoing through Friday evening, with winners to be announced Saturday.
