Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Emma Jean Douthey of Artesia.

Douthey, 72, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, in Artesia.

Chaplain Mike Adams will officiate the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Emma was born Jan. 12, 1946, in Artesia, the daughter of Johnny and Angie (Stephens) Miller.

She was a secretary, a member of Centre Avenue Baptist Church, and a past rodeo queen. She enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors include son Tody Dee Bennett of Artesia; daughter Maryellen Self of Artesia; brothers Johnny Miller Jr. of Artesia and John Robert Miller of California; grandchildren Dusty, Colby, Tony and Dakota; and great-grandchild Jacelynn McWhirter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douthey; her parents; and sister Meann Smith.
