Carlsbad, N.M. – Deputies were dispatched yesterday morning to an oilfield facility on Grubbs Road, Carlsbad, in reference to an industrial accident. There, they discovered the second victim of an oilfield accident this week.
William Welchhance, 47, of Bowie, Texas was unloading pipe off a trailer. While un-strapping the pipe, a fork lift operator was attempting to unload the pipe off of its trailer. The pipe fell, and caused fatal injuries to Welchhance. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
