The flakes were falling this morning in downtown Artesia as the first snow of the season made its way into town. Locals enjoyed the brief flurries, which dissipated around 1 p.m. As per usual with New Mexico’s fickle weather, Friday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-50s.
