An attempt by Artesia Police Department officers to serve a warrant resulted in a brief pursuit and required use of a taser, leading to additional charges against the suspect.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, APD officers were dispatched to First Baptist Church in reference to a wanted felony subject identified as Joshua L. Barnes, 40, of Artesia.
