Liz Parra cuts a t-shirt in order to make a fringe scarf out of the refashioned clothing Tuesday evening during a Recycled Workshop at the Artesia Public Library. The workshop was the first of six hosted by the library and the Artesia Historical Museum. The next is a drop-in event set for 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, and will give parents and their children a chance to make Mohawk hats and headbands from t-shirts. All workshops are free to attend, no registration is required, and supplies are provided.
