Young and old alike pitched in to help make Christmas merrier for Artesia’s kindergartners Saturday as Ride for Bikes held its annual Christmas Bike Build at the Artesia Center. Above, youngsters wheel completed bicycles to the loading area. Below, volunteers work to pack the bikes into trailers for distribution to kindergarten students at Grand Heights Early Childhood Center. Ride for Bikes reported more than 100 volunteers this year, who built 292 bikes. Combined with builds in Tatum and Lovington, Ride for Bikes will distribute 600 bikes this holiday.
