Heirloom Acres is excited to reveal this year’s corn...
Beginning the show with, at his request, an audience recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, Aaron Tippin delighted two shows’ worth of crowds Thursday at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center with a mix of patriotism, his numerous country music hits, and homespun humor. Tippin told a story about each song he performed, as well as how his 25-year career began. “It’s my silver anniversary to match my hair,” he said. Tippin said he began his career “boarding a plane with Bob Hope headed to Afghanistan to entertain the troops.” He performed a variety of hits, including “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” “He Believed,” “Honky Tonk Superman” and many more, opening the show with “Stars and Stripes” and fittingly ending it with “Kiss This.” Teresa Lemon – Daily Press
