Artesia’s infrastructure director, Byron Landfair, announced that several projects are being planned for the near future, while others are nearing completion.
Sections of J J Clarke Avenue remain blocked as road workers complete chip-sealing this week. Workers will finish adding a fog-seal today, which is used to protect the roads from wear and tear, and will conserve tax dollars that would otherwise be used for continued maintenance. The process of chip sealing and fog sealing helps us extend the life of the streets so we don’t have to replace roads too often.  The last time some of these areas were sealed was in 2006, said Landfair. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
