Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Building 601, East IH20 service road, Monahans, Texas, for Jesse Dalton Bell.
Bell, 35, passed away Jan. 14, 2016, in Monahans.
He was born Sept. 20, 1980, in Roswell to Sylvia and John Bell, the second of six children: four daughters and two sons. He grew up in Kermit, Texas, and graduated from Kermit High School in 1999. After graduation, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Portland, Ore.
Upon his return, he began dating Leanne Riley, who was working for his father at the time. They married Oct. 28, 2002, in the Riley home in Monahans.
Jesse and Leanne and their children lived in Monahans for four happy years. He graduated with an associate’s degree from Midland College and completed a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Technical University.
The family moved to Burleson, Texas, in 2006, where Jesse worked for Sid Richardson, Southern Union Gas Services, Mouser Electronics, and GM Financial as the business continuity/disaster recovery administrator.
He resided with the family he loved until his passing on Jan. 14.
Jesse’s family was his greatest treasure, and he was an amazing husband, father, son, uncle and brother.
From the time he could walk, Jesse loved science and animals, and always seemed to have a frog, lizard or snake close by. He was the best creature locator, who loved to take his sisters, brother and, later, his children, nieces and nephews on adventures.
He was a gentle, kind man who loved and served his family with all of his heart. His passing has left a hole that can never be filled, and he will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife, Leanne; three children, Sydney, Jack and Katie; his parents, John and Sylvia, who now have a ranch in the Weed area; brother Jacob; four sisters, Mary, Laura, Amy and Bitsy; many sisters- and brothers-in-law; his nieces and nephews; his grandparents, Dalton and Happy Bell of Artesia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
