Laura McCann of New Mexico Raptors, a nonprofit organization founded to help educate the public about the importance of birds of prey, holds a red-tailed hawk Wednesday afternoon at the Artesia Public Library. McCann also brought a great horned owl and a turkey vulture for the children in attendance to see.
