Edna Carper is turning one-hundred-years old on August 6th, and reaching a milestone such as that is one her family intends to celebrate greatly. This weekend the family is planning a party in her honor, filled with a lot of fun and reminiscing.
Edna Carper was born in 1914 to Bertha and John Van Wyngarden in Chugwater, Wyo. “We had a family friend out there who played the piano,” Carper said. “She was from Australia.” Carper said she always thought it was amazing someone from Australia ended up in Wyoming, and it was through that friendship Carper would learn to play the piano herself and hence develop a lifelong love for music. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
