The Artesia Public Schools Board of Education held its monthly meeting Monday night to discuss several items of interest.

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum John Ross Null proposed a calendar for the 2014-15 school year, which was developed by the APS Calendar Committee. The calendar acknowledges the typical days off from school, such as government-recognized holidays, as well as professional development days for APS staff.
