Work was underway today at Bulldog Bowl on the installation of the football stadium’s new video board and scoreboard.
The video board, seen above, will replace the old board that was installed in 2012 and had been experiencing operational issues for several years. The board bears a sign reading “Mack Chase Field” above the screen, with another sign reading “Bulldog Bowl” to be placed at the top of the frame. Crews were also finishing installation today of a new scoreboard atop the L.G. Henderson Field House. The Artesia Public Schools Board of Education approved the purchases – with assistance from a private donor – of the new boards Nov. 11, 2019, accepting a bid of $466,357.35.
