Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Penny Hoover.
Hoover, 67, passed away June 29, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born Dec. 30, 1948, in Florence, Ariz., the daughter of Luther Mayfield and Lorean Tayrien.
On Aug. 15, 1966, she married Tommy Hoover in Wilcox, Ariz., and the couple came to Artesia in 1968 from Wilcox.
Penny was a member of First United Methodist Church and an accountant for Mack Energy Corp.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy, of the family home; son Todd Hoover and wife Angel of Uvalde, Texas; daughter Kim Young and husband Shawn of The Woodlands, Texas; brother T.J. Mayfield of Williams, Ariz.; and grandchildren Courtney and Morgan Young, and Justin, Rylee, Britney and Bryan Hoover.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Mayfield.
