Included in the packages were devotionals in memory of Kayci Houghtaling, daughter of Ty and Jennifer Houghtaling, who passed away in December 2011. The devotionals feature a photo of Kayci and a message of faith she penned. NATIVITY COLLECTION — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints presented a walk-through Bethlehem Chritsmas Nativity Display earlier this month for the public to enjoy. Twelve families submitted a total of 70 nativities for the display, with Maebeth Barmore contributing 20 of her own. Nativities ranged from the coconut-crafted scene above to the next Lego nativity, to the final nativity created from olive wood from the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem. LIVE NATIVITY — First United Methodist Church’s annual live nativity brought the story of the first Christmas to onlookers in an immersive way last week in the churchyard.
