TO THE EDITOR:
I just want to say that I am so glad to live in a community like Artesia.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer on Nov. 25, 2016. My friends, family and community came together to help raise money with an enchilada dinner and a bake sale for my cancer treatments. I would like to say thank you to Nelda Esquibel and Emma Salgado for organizing and working the enchilada dinner.
Thank you to the Esquibel Family, who prepared the whole meal, and Anna and Sylvia Navarrette, who gave their time for the bake sale. Thank you to the whole community who donated time, money and supplies for the dinner and the bake sale.
I cannot say thank you enough for all you have done for me and my family. I have been truly blessed!
