TO THE EDITOR:

Twenty-three years ago, a tradition was established by the parents of the AHS Class of 1995. This amazing tradition is Senior Salute, and it has grown and flourished in the years that have followed.

“What is Senior Salute?” some of you may ask. It is an alcohol and drug free, all night celebration held after the AHS graduation for all 2018 AHS graduates. Its purpose is to create lasting positive memories and help keep our young people safe after graduation. This celebration keeps our kids off the streets, away from drugs, alcohol and unsupervised bashes, and reduces the chances for DUI related accidents, injuries and fatalities.

The Senior Salute 2018 committee is busy planning and preparing for this year’s celebration. We need your help! We are currently asking for donations of prizes funds. In the past, prizes have included laptops, televisions, iPads, gift cards, bikes and the like. Donated funds will be used to purchase additional prizes and help cover the event costs.

If you have not been contacted to make a donation of money or prizes, please contact us and we will gladly work with you to accept your tax-deductible donation.

Thank you for your support of this amazing night!
