Alexis Anez, 19, of Carlsbad, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference Jan. 13, 2016, on charges of DWI, possession of alcoholic beverages by a minor, driving on a suspended license, and following too closely.
Spencer Liles, 19, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference Jan. 13, 2016, on charges of DWI and minor allowing self to be served alcohol. Liles was found guilty of possession of marijuana (under one ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 364 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $526.
Kathy J. Lunsford, 48, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial hearing Feb. 3, 2016, on charges of driving while under the influence of drugs (second offense), careless driving, and abuse of glue or aerosol spray.
Melissa Huitron, 30, of Lake Arthur, scheduled to appear for preliminary examination Dec. 9 on two counts of forgery, concealing identity, driver’s license not in possession, and no insurance. Huitron was found guilty of no driver’s license and no insurance. Sentenced to 90 days in ECDC. Total fines and fees $567. Huitron was also found guilty of failure to pay fines. Sentenced to nine days in ECDC.
Gonzalo A. Rodriguez, 22, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for preliminary examination Dec. 9 on charges of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, larceny (more than $500 but not more than $2,500), and criminal trespass.
Ishmael R. Calderon, 37, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for preliminary examination Dec. 9 on charges of possession of a controlled substance (felony) and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dakota L. Thiel, 22, of Artesia, found guilty of criminal trespass and shoplifting ($250 or less). Sentenced to 182 days in ECDC and 182 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $276. Thiel was also scheduled to appear for pretrial conference Dec. 9 on charges of criminal trespass and shoplifting.
Ivan Ortiz, 22, of Artesia, found guilty of disorderly conduct. Sentenced to 180 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $73.
Jose Lujan, 18, of Artesia, found guilty of failure to pay fines. Sentenced to five days in ECDC.
Cesar A. Jimenez, 36, of Artesia, found guilty of three counts of shoplifting and abuse of glue or aerosol spray. Sentenced to 182 days in ECDC and 364 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $342.
Charges of trafficking a controlled substance and child abuse were nolle prosequi against Melanie Villegas, 21, of Artesia.
Ernesto Lopez, 21, of Carlsbad, found guilty of probation violation and failure to pay fines. Sentenced to 290 days in ECDC.
