4:06 a.m. – Officer dispatched to the Abo Apartments in reference to shots fired in the area.

ARRESTS

12:53 p.m. – Stephen A. Losoya, 19, of Artesia, arrested on a magistrate warrant for failure to pay and a municipal warrant for failure to pay.

4:34 p.m. – Hector J. Hernandez, 26, of Artesia, arrested on a municipal warrant for failure to appear and charges of shoplifting, concealing identity, and battery upon a peace officer.

7:21 p.m. – Gary J. Campbell, 34, of Lubbock, Texas, arrested on a Carlsbad Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear and a municipal warrant for failure to pay.

7:49 p.m. – Jacob Salmon, 24, of Lake Arthur, arrested on a district court warrant for contempt of court and charges pf possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charges of battery against a household member dismissed without prejudice against Karla Ruth Omes, 24, of Carlsbad.
Desiray B. Cunningham, 22, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing May 4 on charges of breaking and entering and larceny.
Daryl Shane Carson, 27, of Artesia, bound over to district court on charges of larceny, residential burglary, non-residential burglary, receiving stolen property, conspiracy to commit non-residential burglary, and conspiracy to commit residential burglary.
Tanya Perez, 38, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for a probation violation sentencing hearing May 11.
Pitak Hollman, 32, of Roswell, bound over to district court on six counts of embezzlement.
Andrew Cobos, 20, of Roswell, found guilty of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer and concealing identity. Sentenced to 364 days and 182 days in ECDC. Total fines and fees $176.
David Duran Jr., of Artesia, found guilty of battery against a household member and criminal damage to property of a household member. Sentenced to 1,092 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $226.
Lillian R. Tucker, 21, of Artesia, found guilty of battery against a household member and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. Sentenced to 100 days in ECDC and 1,092 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $326.
Charges of criminal damage to property dismissed with prejudice against Casandra J. Martinez, 22, of Artesia.
Charges of battery against a household member dismissed without prejudice against Trevor Wright, 45, of Artesia.

Shawn A. Reedy found guilty of DWI (first offense), operators must be licensed, consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages in a vehicle, and driving on streets laned for traffic. Sentenced to two days in the Artesia Detention Center. Total fines and fees $661.
