Cheryl Bartlett, 2014 Relay for Life committee chair, plans out the placement of blockades this morning for Artesia’s Relay for Life at Roberts Park with City of Artesia Parks and Recreation staff Clarence “Buddy” Sentell and Tino Gonzalez. The annual event designed to raise funds and awareness for cancer research while celebrating survivors and remembering those who were lost will take place this weekend.
ARTESIA — Artesia’s Relay for Life event will begin this evening at Roberts Park.
Following is a schedule of events:
5 p.m.: Team registration
5:30 p.m.: Survivor and caregiver registration
6 p.m.: Opening Ceremony; survivor and caregiver lap; parade of teams and team photo; relay begins
6:30 p.m.: Dinner for survivors and caregivers hosted by Artesia General Hospital
