Lorenzo Rincon, Central Valley Electric Cooperative journeyman/lineman, was recently awarded the Long Rope Safety Attitude Award.

Rincon was recognized by his peers as a leader in safety May 20 at the co-op’s monthly safety meeting.

Colleagues who nominated Rincon for the award said, “Lorenzo is a hard worker, he’s very knowledgeable and good at his job. He takes responsibility for his actions and is always willing to pass along his knowledge. We are proud to be on Lorenzo’s crew, and he is a great asset to CVE. He will do anything and everything in his power to keep himself and his fellow employees safe.”

The Long Rope Safety Attitude Award is dedicated to all linemen in New Mexico who have been killed or injured on the job. The objective of the award is to give recognition to a person who is a leader in safety and who believes safety on the job is a priority.

The CVE employees, management and board of trustees would like to congratulate Lorenzo Rincon on a job well done.
