Graduating seniors encouraged to attend informative session

When this year’s graduating seniors leave home, they may be able to take with them a little more piece of mind.

The Artesia Police Department, Artesia Public Schools, Eddy County DWI Program, Carlsbad Police Department, Eddy County Sheriff’s Department and the Artesia Drug and Crime Coalition will jointly present “Keeping Yourself Safe,” a safety training program for students who are planning to move away after graduation.

The program begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the Artesia High School Auditorium.

Law enforcement agencies will give presentations on a wide range of crimes that could happen when a student is away from the safety of friends and family. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
