Tammie Powers, 59, of Artesia, went to be with our heavenly father Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, with her family by her side.

She was born Dec. 2, 1960, in Carlsbad, the daughter of Boyce Charles and Dorothy (Warren)

Gleghorn.

On Aug. 11, 1983, she married Danny Powers in Amarillo, Texas.

Tammie went on to get her cosmetology license. She mostly worked as a homemaker to take care of her girls, husband, and the family home.

Tammie had a love for sports, mostly football and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved her family and every moment with them.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Powers, of the family home; daughters Breanna Levario and husband T.J. of Artesia, and Jennifer Lee and husband Scott of Waco, Texas; sister Brenda West and husband Rodney of Artesia; brothers Robbie Gleghorn of Artesia and Warren Gleghorn and wife Charlotte of Green Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyce Charles and Dorothy (Warren) Gleghorn Bratcher; and brother Toby Gleghorn.

A celebration of life and memorial services will be scheduled at a later date at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel.
