Artesia’s new Tractor Supply Co., which opened its doors June 11 at 2793 N. First St., will hold its grand opening Saturday with specially-priced merchandise through June 26.
Artesia’s location is Tractor Supply’s 19th store in New Mexico and employs 11 in its 19,100-square-foot space. Tractor Supply is the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the U.S. and has been operating in New Mexico since 2007.
“Artesia is a great location for Tractor Supply Co. because there are a lot of families with riding stables and hobby farms in the area,” said store manager Lisa Swint. “Our knowledgeable, friendly team looks forward to providing our neighbors with Tractor Supply’s legendary customer service.”
Swint, a Texas native, first joined Tractor Supply as an assistant manager at the Seminole, Texas, location. As store manager, she oversees all store operations, including receiving, inventory control, merchandising, and customer and team member relations.
To celebrate its grand opening, Tractor Supply will offer shoppers 10 percent off their first purchase up to $100 through June 26. Customers can also enter to win prizes, including gift cards, pet feed, clothing, power tools, and a riding mower. Free Tractor Supply caps will also be given away while supplies last.
Saturday’s grand opening event will also feature a number of activities, including a tractor show. Store hours are from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sundays.
