U.S. 82 is temporarily closed between High Rolls and Alamogordo due to a rockslide just west of the tunnel.
Closure, US 82 from mile marker 1, 1 mile east of Alamogordo to mile marker 7, 2 miles west of High Rolls.
Motorists please be advised US 82 from mm 1 (east of Alamogordo) to mm 7 (west of High Rolls at the tunnel) is closed in all directions due to a rockslide. Please seek an alternate route at this time. NMDOT will continue to remove rocks and debris from the roadway. Please use caution, reduce speed and watch for all emergency personnel and equipment in the area.
