The trial of Osmond O. Viernes, 37, of Artesia continued today with witness testimony for the State of New Mexico. Viernes has been charged with second-degree murder after a 2012 fistfight that ended in the shooting death of one participant.
On May 5, 2012, APD Patrol Sergeant John Beasley was at home with his wife, watching a movie that she’d rented.
